One small bear
his mother was hit by a train
he will not survive, though our limbs move with sympathy
one small squirrel, he falls from his nest in the sky
we put him in a shoe box and feed him with an eyedropper
that one owes an awful lot to the wind
that one owes an awful lot to his animal family
that one moves an awful lot like the wind
that one looks an awful lot like his animal kin
does that boy belong to them?
one small child
wanders off alone in the night
takes shelter under branches from the wicked wind
one small boy
with no one he would surely die
they lead him back to their den and lick his feet clean
and oh when they take him back
his family mourns the loss
sometimes he still hears them calling him
at night through the bedroom glass
he slips from the covers
and curls on the floor
he sleeps in the corner
he dreams like a dog

Great performer makes album that further expresses her individuality, even more so than her previous band. I have got praise for days. This has long and short songs: you can't lose! Justin

So glad this thing of beauty has been given a ‘physical’ release. Let’s hope Bill & Billy follow suit and release an album of all their other recent collaborations. ♥️ Tim Mee
